Angkor and Phnom Penh

Day 01: Angkor Thom

After arrival we transfer you to your hotel to check-in whereafter we start our tour. We visit the complex of Angkor Thom, including the sites Bayon, Elephants and Lépreux King Terrace, Tep Pranam, Prah Palilay, Phimeanakas, Baphuon. In the afternoon we visit Kleangs North and South, Prah Pithu, Victory Gate, Thommanon and Chau Say Thevoda. We return to Siem Reap by Bakheng mountain to admire the stunning sunset behind the temples of Angkor Wat.

Day 02: Small Circuitand Big Circuit

In the morning we do the‘Small Circuit’: Takeo, Ta Prohm, Banteay Kdei, Sras Srang Terrace and Prasat Kravan. In the afternoon we do the ‘Big Circuit’: Pre Rup, Mebon, Tasom, Neak Pean and Prah Khan.

Day 03: The River of thousand lingas, Banteay Srei and Angkor Wat

In the morning we make a boat excursion on the Kbal Spean (River of thousand lingas) and we bring a visit to the Banteay Srei (The Woman Citadel).The whole afternoon is reserved to visit Angkor Wat.

Day 04: Tonlé Sap Lake andregion of Siem Riep

In the morning, we will do an excursion to Tonlé Sap Lake, a lake connected to the Mekong River by a canal of 100 km long. During the water floods of the Mekong River in the rainy season, this lake is around 7500 km² large and 10m deep! (Dry season: 3000km² large and 2 m deep) Tonle Sap lake serves as a ‘solution’ for the floods of the Mekong River, allowing to avoid devastating floods downstream. We enter a boat and cruise around the lake, chat with the local fishermen and visit Chongnea, the lake-side village on stilts. In the afternoon, we visit an old traditional market and a handicraft school.

Day 05: From Siem Riep to Phnom Penh

We take the fast ferry to Phnom Penh in the early morning, and after arrival we check-in in our hotel. In the afternoon we visit theTuol Sleng Génocidal Musuem and the killing fields of Choeung Ekdes. We end the day peacefully by making a mini cruise on the Mekong River by sunset.

Day 06 : Phnom Penh and flight to Saigon

In the morning we visit Wat Phnom, the Royal Castle, the Silver Pagoda and the National Museum. Afterwards we transfer you to the airport for your onward departure flight.
